A lot of our rhododendron and azaleas which were propagated in the summer are now ready to be potted on into P9’s. We pot these on and they then go into our glass house for the winter, allowing them to have a slightly warmer environment to continue growing. We’ve revamped our glass house so we now have more space to grow things on before they can be hardens off in the tunnels.
We are working towards creating a larger collection of rhododendrons from the stock plants we have at Caerhays and are prepping to start a vast amount of seed in the spring. Wokring with many rare varieties which have not been propagated here at Burncoose for a very long time.
